In the ebb and flow of life, there are moments when we feel stretched thin, and our efforts seemingly yield little. 

It’s a trying experience that can leave us feeling drained and disheartened. 

Yet, in these moments, it helps if we remember the concept of Rizq, sustenance, which comes solely from Allah. 

It serves as an anchor in life’s storms, grounding us with patience and hope.

Every trial we face, every wave of uncertainty, is a test of our faith, guiding us towards a greater purpose and a deeper connection with our Creator. 

To some, abundance leads to transgression, while for others, modesty breeds contentment.

His divine wisdom might decree that some people have more wealth than others, but rest assured He knows what’s best for us.

Rizq isn’t just about material wealth; it encompasses all essential aspects of life, from health to knowledge, tranquility, and even our relationships. 

It’s a promise from Allah, managed solely by Him, bestowed upon us by His mercy.

And though we may plan and worry endlessly, no amount of concern can alter what Allah has decreed for us.

Consider the story of Hajar (PBUH), left destitute in a barren desert with her infant son, Ismail (PBUH).

Yet, her unwavering trust in Allah’s sustenance led to the miraculous emergence of the Zamzam well, a perpetual source of blessings that remains today.

So why do we worry? 

Why do we cling so tightly to worldly possessions and status when our true sustenance comes from Allah alone? 

It’s not about abandoning worldly affairs but about earnest effort and accepting the outcomes, knowing that our provisions stem from the seeds of our labor.

Allah says, “And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allāh, and remember Allāh often that you may succeed.” (62:10)

Allah instructs us to strive ceaselessly, to seek sustenance lawfully, and to avoid prohibited means of earning.

Yet, our attachment should be to Allah, not the outcomes, for His pleasure brings peace and tranquility to our hearts.

Gratitude is vital - for every blessing, big or small, in times of ease and adversity. 

By acknowledging and appreciating these blessings, we experience Allah’s love in its purest form, paving the way for a life filled with Barakah.

Incorporating these teachings into our lives leads to peace and contentment. 

It requires patience, intentionality in our work, and trust in Allah’s wisdom. 

Remember that Allah has bestowed upon us what is necessary to attain our highest potential, the self that draws us closest to Him. 

We are all different and require unique blessings to reach this state. 

But understand that we possess everything essential for our journeys right now.

Trust in Allah’s plan, for He is the best of planners.
