  • 🤲 Du’a for Umm Khadija

The Prophet ﷺ didn't just teach us to feed orphans, he taught us to honor them.

In a world where vulnerable children often become invisible statistics, we need to emphasize their physical needs and dignity. "Honor them," the guidance tells us, because society may have failed to do so.

This isn't mere charity; it's about restoring the human dignity that everyone deserves.

When we honor orphans, we're living out one of our faith's essential values: bringing people benefit.

The Prophet ﷺ himself said,

I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise," and he joined his index and middle fingers together.

This teaching about honoring the vulnerable forms a perfect circle.

We honor our parents in their old age, we care for orphans in their youth, and in doing so, we create a community where no one falls through the cracks.

Let us invest in our relationships now, with family, friends, and those who need our support.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us that true faith is intertwined with love for one another.

"You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love each other."

This isn't just about feelings—it's about active care and support for those around us.

Looking at these situations worldwide through our Prophet's teachings, we see more than a humanitarian crisis.

We can learn to see an opportunity to embody his mercy and care.

These are challenging times, and they call for extraordinary empathy.

Whether supporting organizations or engaging with vulnerable community members, we have countless opportunities to transform the Prophet's teachings into tangible action.

We're called to give charity to restore dignity to those in need and build sustainable support systems that uplift entire communities.

Actual change happens when we transform our natural empathy into meaningful action, actively honoring the vulnerable among us.

By creating lasting bonds of care and support, we don't just help individuals; we weave a stronger social fabric that reflects the profound mercy and wisdom of our Prophet's ﷺ teachings.

This is how we build communities that don't just survive hardship, but thrive through it.

Reflect On This:

  1. What practical steps can we take today to invest in our relationships with family and friends, knowing tomorrow isn't guaranteed?

  2. How can we transform our empathy into meaningful action, especially for those who've lost their support systems?

15 Orphans Remain..

Alhamdulillah, with this community's support, we have raised enough money to build 10 wells and support dozens of orphans and families.

Islamic Ummah Relief is on the ground, actively providing aid.

But they can’t do it alone.

So far, they have distributed thousands of meals to many fasting during Ramadan.

With $100, we can sponsor an orphan for a month.
With $1,200, we can sponsor an orphan for a year.
Every amount helps the efforts.

👶 SunnahStories:

Upon a branch so light and thin,

A golden bird sat bright within.

Its feathers shone, its song was sweet,

And gold it left beneath its feet!

A farmer saw and gasped in awe,

"This bird is worth more gold than straw!"

With careful steps, with quiet cheer,

He caught the bird and held it near.

Each morning bright, a gift was laid,

A golden speck, a prize displayed.

Yet soon his heart began to yearn,

"Why take one, when more can turn?"

He locked the bird inside a cage,

And fed it finest seeds with rage.

"Now give me gold, and do not rest!"

"For wealth and riches, I seek the best!"

But locked away, the bird grew weak,

No gold it gave, nor voice to speak.

And when the farmer shook in wrath,

The bird then spoke a final path.

"For greed has made your hands go dry,

You trapped me close, yet lost the sky.

Had patience stayed, your wealth would grow,

But greed has made your hands let go."

And with a flutter, soft and bright,

The bird took off in golden light.

The farmer knelt, his heart so sore,

For greed had left him rich no more.

🤲 Make Dua for Umm Khaidja

Ya Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Wise — indeed, Umm Khadijah and her family are in need of every good You have stored for them. We ask You, Ya Rabb, for tawfiq and a complete, honorable victory in the matter she faces concerning her beloved daughter.

Ya Allah, remove every trace of oppression from their lives. Grant them togetherness, safety, peace, and deep tranquillity. Strengthen their bond and protect them from those who seek to cause harm, difficulty, or interference.

Preserve the freedoms You’ve blessed them with, and do not sever the ties of heart and home. Ya Allah, make this path easy, grant them clarity and ease, and let them emerge from this test with a victory that only You can give — one filled with Your mercy and justice.

Ameen, Ya Rabb al-'Alamin.
