The Love That Saved The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم

Bismillah. Welcome to DailySunnah.
Life has a way of humbling us. We’ve all faced moments of hardship, only to be lifted by Allah’s mercy in ways we never expected.
Surah Ad-Duhaa is a reminder of that call to recognize the blessings we’ve received and to extend that mercy to others.
In giving, we don’t just change their lives—we transform our own.

🤲 Du’a for Tara Dean
In Surah Ad-Duhaa, the Almighty reminds us of our humble beginnings and the divine favor He has bestowed upon us.
He calls our attention to the hardships we’ve endured—the loneliness, the struggle—only to show us how His mercy lifted us up.
True divine favor isn’t just in receiving His kindness; it’s in the opportunity to uplift others, especially those most in need.
Orphans who have lost the warmth of parental love often find themselves thrust into an unforgiving world.
No guiding hand.
No safe embrace.
Just a reality that can be indifferent, even cruel.
As believers, our faith calls us to be that shelter, to extend the love and security they deserve.
The Prophet ﷺ knew this pain intimately.
He lost both parents at a young age, yet the love of his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib, and later, his uncle, Abu Talib, left a profound imprint on him.
The way he honored them throughout his life is a testament to the power of their kindness.
The Prophet ﷺ said,
I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,
putting his index and middle fingers together
Their love shaped him, and through us, that same love can shape the lives of orphans today.
When we provide for orphans, we are healing hearts.
Through giving, we recognize their struggles, nurture their emotions, and restore their sense of security.
Charity is genuinely about growth.
It’s about understanding that we are not just offering help but receiving an opportunity.
Because the most valuable charity is the one that stretches our hearts and refines our souls.
Understand that beyond material blessings; charity reshapes us.
It makes us more prophetic, softens our hearts, and connects us to the most nurturing names of Allah.
When we give, we open ourselves to divine mercy in our own lives.
Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can shift our reality.
Picture this: a child, lost in uncertainty, now carrying a spark of hope, of joy because of you.
A meal that fills their stomach. A space that reassures them they are safe. A moment of kindness that tells them you are not alone.
Because every encounter is an opportunity.
Not just to provide but to deepen ourselves.
To grow closer to Allah.
In dedicating ourselves to the cause of orphans, the light we ignite in their lives will reflect onto our own.
Because in giving, we receive far more than we could ever imagine.
We’ve partnered with Islamic Ummah Relief this Ramadan to support orphans in Nigeria.
You can click here to sponsor an orphan, Insha’allah.
Reflect on this:
Take a moment to reflect on the blessing of having loving parents, a safe home, and the security that shaped your life. Think about all the opportunities, comfort, and guidance that flowed from this gift.
When was the last time you felt truly lost or vulnerable? How did Allah’s mercy manifest in your life during that time?
(We interrupt this broadcast with an effective remedy against our egos)
Sponsor An Orphan | Build A Well
Alhamdulillah, with this community's support, we have raised enough money to build 6 wells and support hundreds of orphans and families.
Islamic Ummah Relief is on the ground, actively providing aid.
But they can’t do it alone.
So far, they have distributed thousands of meals to many fasting during Ramadan.
With $50, we can provide food to a family for a month.
With $100, we can sponsor an orphan for a month or help build a well to provide a generation with water.
Be the answer to their du'as today and build your sadaqah jaariyah.

👶 SunnahStories:

In a forest full of shade and light,
A squirrel raced with all his might.
His paws were swift, his heart was free,
He leaped and danced from tree to tree.
But patience was not in his way,
"Why work so slow?" he’d always say.
"I’ll build my nest in half a day!"
"Who needs to work the long, hard way?"
A spider spun her web with grace,
Each thread she placed in its own space.
"A home takes time," she said with care,
"Strong and steady, firm and fair."
The squirrel laughed and ran away,
"I’d rather jump, I’d rather play!"
But when the storm began to blow,
His nest was gone—no place to go!
Cold and wet, he walked around,
And saw the spider’s web still sound.
"How did your home survive the rain?"
"Why is it safe, while mine is plain?"
"I built it strong, I built it slow,"
"Patience makes things truly grow."
"For work that’s rushed will fall apart,
But steady hands make solid art."
The squirrel learned and changed his way,
He built his home with care each day.
And when the storm returned once more,
His nest stood firm, just like before!
Reflection Questions:
1️⃣ Why did Sami think building a nest quickly was a good idea?
2️⃣ How did Basira’s patience help her web survive the storm?
3️⃣ What does Islam teach us about working hard and being patient?
4️⃣ Can you think of a time when doing something too fast led to mistakes?
5️⃣ How can we practice patience and consistency in our daily lives?

TAKE ACTION: FREE MAHMOUD!

Imagine this: eight months along, you and your pregnant wife arrive home late at night. Suddenly, two strangers force their way in behind you and begin to interrogate and threaten you.
This isn’t some distant horror story. It happened to Khalil, a lawful permanent resident, and his U.S. citizen wife.
He was arrested, his eight-month-pregnant wife was threatened, and when his lawyer tried to intervene, they simply hung up—all because he supported a peaceful Palestinian protest at his college.
The blatant abuse of power, intimidation, and refusal to acknowledge fundamental rights should enrage every one of us.
