We are born with fitrah, inherent goodness.
It’s a fundamental truth.
Yet, as we navigate the complexities of life, our hearts become tainted with diseases that hinder our spiritual growth.
These diseases, inherent to the human experience, threaten to corrupt our souls and distance us from our fitrah.
But what does it mean for us as individuals striving to lead a life of purpose and connection with Allah?
It is in this pursuit that the journey of purification begins. We must recognize the diseases of the heart, understand their origins, and actively work towards their eradication.
When we prioritize worldly possessions over spiritual growth, we become imprisoned by our desires and unable to experience the true liberation of the soul.
Our hearts become hardened, devoid of compassion and generosity.
To embark on the path of purification, we must detach ourselves from the love of worldly possessions and reorient our focus towards the higher purpose of our existence. Through acts of kindness, selflessness, and fulfilling our obligations, we can restore the purity of our hearts.
Completely eradicating these diseases is beyond our human capacity.
Yet, we can strive towards excellence in our spiritual journey by seeking Allah's protection and forgiveness and through continuous self-reflection and improvement.
May Allah bless us with the strength and wisdom to nurture our fitrah and surpass our limitations.
