He is not amongst us who fails to show mercy to the young ones.
🤲 Make Du’a for Mahina binti Ali Sapari 🤲
O Allah, we beseech You to accept the good deeds of our beloved sister and grandmother, Mahina binti Ali Sapari, who departed from us on September 7th. Forgive her shortcomings and grant her a place in Jannatul Firdaus. May we be blessed with the opportunity to reunite with her in Your eternal paradise.
Ameen.

Understanding the essence of family begins with recognizing that our children are among life's most profound blessings.
The Holy Quran enlightens us, stating that wealth and offspring beautify our lives. It serves as a reminder of the joy and purpose our children bring into our existence. Throughout the Quran, we encounter tales of individuals who deeply yearned for children. Stories like that of Yusuf or the Pharaoh's wife highlight the innate human longing for parenthood.
Parenthood, in itself, is a remarkable journey of the heart and mind. It's a unique bond where one wishes nothing but the best for the other. Parents desire to see their children thrive, surpassing them in every aspect, without a hint of jealousy. This unparalleled joy in witnessing your child's success is a testament to the essence of parenting.
However, this bond demands mutual respect and love.
Without these foundational pillars, the family structure weakens, potentially leaving lasting scars on the young minds.
Yet, with the joys of parenting come immense responsibilities.
The Quran and our prophetic traditions emphasize the duty parents bear. They are the shepherds, safeguarding their flock, ensuring their spiritual and moral well-being. This guardianship underscores the importance of parents as role models. The character of a child is significantly molded by their parents' actions and values. While external factors like media and societal pressures do influence them, the core values instilled at home play a decisive role.
As parents, our mission is continuous self-improvement, not just for our well-being but for the future of our children. By embodying the virtues we wish to see in them, we lay the foundation for a legacy of faith, compassion, and righteousness.
Our children are our litmus test, reflecting our true colors.
Let’s ensure they reflect the very best of us.
🪞Reflection:
What is one thing you love about your child? Where does that quality come from - You or your spouse?
Now, what do you dislike about your child? Where does that come from?
How can you encourage a positive quality and build a deeper connection?
