You’re in the Ramadan flow , pouring your heart out in dua, pushing through long hours of Salat, feeling spiritually charged.

But have you really done the hard part yet?

Because as difficult as those nights of worship are, picking up the phone and making amends with someone you’ve wronged—or someone who has wronged you—is much harder.

Swallowing your pride and reconciling takes more strength than all those sleepless nights combined.

Yeah, I know.

Sounds rough.

Abdullah ibn Masood (RA) said: We would not dare for Ramadan to come upon us, and we still have grudges in our hearts.

Allah says, Leave these two until they fix what’s between themselves—because until you do, the gates of the heavens are shut for you.

It's not exactly the vibe we want for Ramadan, right?

Fasting isn’t just about staying hungry. It’s about curbing the tongue, the temper, the pride.

Compared to that, not eating feels easy—because these sins are subtle.

Most of us don't forget we’re fasting and accidentally eat a few chocolate bars, but how often do we slip into a heated argument or drop careless words without even realizing it?

If we can’t stop the constant arguing, petty fights, and judging, what’s the point?

The Prophet ﷺ said :

Whoever does not give up false statements (i.e. telling lies), and evil deeds, and speaking bad words to others,

Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink

And then there is the lifestyle sins.

The ones we’ve made part of our daily routine.

You know, the ones we excuse with, “That’s just how I am.”

Sometimes, these sins get so deeply woven into our personalities that we no longer recognize them as sins.

They’re just… us.

Gossip becomes "just talking, venting, and sharing."

A sharp tongue becomes "just being real."

But Ramadan isn’t just about adding more good; it’s about removing the bad.

Because if your bucket has holes, no amount of “worship points” will fill it.

So with your Ramadan to-do list, write your to-not-do list.

What habits, grudges, and sins are you finally ready to let go of?

Because this month isn’t just about doing more—it’s about becoming more.

Reflect on this.

What’s a daily habit do I want to cut out this month?

What are three of your Ramadan goals? Drop them in the comments and let’s motivate each other!

$50 Could Save a Family

Islamic Ummah Relief is on the ground, actively providing aid across 5 countries, reaching over 300,000 Families—but they can’t do it alone.

Right now, 800,000+ orphans and millions of widows in Nigeria are struggling for survival.

1 in 3 children are malnourished.

With just $50, you can provide a family with meals or clean water for a month.

Every donation will go directly to a family in need.

👶 SunnahStories

One bright morning, off they went,
With donkey strong and bodies bent.
Uncle Kareem and Yusuf too,
Walked the road where breezes blew.

Some men called out, "Oh, what a sight!
A donkey there—yet none will ride!"
So Uncle said, "Come, Yusuf dear,
Ride atop, have no fear."

Then others gasped, "How rude, this boy!
His elder walks—while he enjoys!"
So off he climbed, his face now red,
And Uncle rode the beast instead.

Yet voices rose, "How cruel, this man!
His little nephew walks the land!"
So up they both climbed, feeling lost,
But more complaints—"What a heavy cost!"

"Have mercy, sir! This donkey tires!"
The merchants cried with strong desires.
So Uncle said, "Let’s lift it high,
And carry it before their eyes!"

Upon a pole, they tied it tight,
And struggled forth with all their might.
The people laughed—what a disgrace!
They dropped the donkey in their place.

Then Uncle spoke, "Oh Yusuf dear,
See now the lesson, loud and clear?
No matter what, complaints won’t cease,
So seek Allah—and live in peace!"

Reflection Questions:

1️⃣ Why did Uncle Kareem and Yusuf keep changing what they were doing?
2️⃣ What lesson did they learn at the end of the story?
3️⃣ Have you ever tried to please everyone but found it impossible?
4️⃣ How does Islam teach us to focus on pleasing Allah instead of people?
5️⃣ What is one thing you can do this week to focus on doing what is right, even if others disapprove?

🌎️ Ummah Spotlight: Your Impact, Right Here

Alhamdulillah, because of the Daily Sunnah Community, the orphanage in Nigeria is no longer just a dream—it’s a reality. A home, a safe space, a fresh start for so many orphans.

You made that happen.

And the impact didn’t stop there. Your generosity is already building hope in Ghana. The work continues, and so does the blessing. Every effort, every contribution—it all matters.

And today, we want to say thank you.

May Allah reward you endlessly for the lives you’ve touched. Ameen.
