THE DAILY SUNNAH

Reading Time: 1 min

Praise be to Allah, who created (out of nothing) the heavens and the earth, who made the angels, messengers with wings.

Surah Fatir 35:1

🤲 Make Du’a for Palestine 🤲
O Allah, Lord of the worlds, we ask You by Your most beautiful names and exalted attributes to protect our brothers and sisters in Palestine and everywhere they face oppression and aggression.

O Allah, be gentle with their situation, alleviate their suffering, and lift the hardships and calamities from them.

O Allah, bestow upon them tranquility and safety, mend their broken spirits, heal their sick, and have mercy on their deceased.

O Allah, be their supporter and helper, grant them patience, strengthen their resolve, and grant them victory over the oppressive people.

O Allah, indeed You are capable of all things.

May Allah accept our prayers and grant relief to all those suffering.

Ameen.

When we delve into the topic of angels, we are venturing into a realm that is truly beyond our human understanding. These magnificent beings, created from pure light, are a testament to the grandeur and majesty of the Creator. Their very existence and the roles they play in the cosmic order provide us with profound insights into the divine plan.

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) once recounted his miraculous night journey to the heavens. He described hearing the heavens shake and reverberate. This cosmic symphony is a result of countless angels, ceaselessly engaged in the praise of Allah. Their worship is so intense that even the vast heavens resonate with their divine chants. Interestingly, sounds captured from outer space by NASA seem to echo these descriptions, adding a layer of awe to the prophetic traditions.

Among all angels, Jibril stands out with unparalleled prominence. As a member of the elite class of angels known as al-mukasimati, he holds the noble task of delivering divine revelations to prophets. Jibril's role is not just limited to conveying messages; he breathes spiritual life into our hearts and, when required, metes out divine justice to nations that defy the divine order. His majestic presence, with wings that could span horizons, is a testament to the significance of his duties.

The tale of Jibril and the celestial realm serves as a reminder of the vastness and intricacy of Allah's creation. In our daily lives, when we feel overwhelmed by worldly concerns, reflecting on these grand beings can provide perspective. Just as angels fulfill their divine duties with unwavering dedication, we too can find purpose and direction in our lives.

By seeking to understand and appreciate the divine order, we can cultivate a deeper connection with our Creator and find solace in the knowledge that we are part of a grand cosmic plan. Let the story of Jibril inspire us to live with purpose, humility, and a constant yearning to draw closer to the Divine.
