Tie your camel and trust in Allah
Have you ever thought, “I can’t do this,” or “I’m not good enough”?
Unfortunately, this attitude of helplessness has become far too common.
But let’s remind ourselves of a truth that Allah has made clear: we are far from helpless.
We are incredibly powerful.
The Power of the Human Soul
Allah honored the human being above all creation.
He tells us in the Qur’an how He breathed His spirit into us, elevating the soul to a position of incredible potential.
Angels were commanded to prostrate before Adam (AS) because of this soul Allah bestowed upon us.
How then can we, as Muslims, allow ourselves to live in a state of defeat, saying, “What can I do?” or “I can only make du’a”?
Yes, du’a is powerful, but Allah also gave us the capacity to act, build, and create change.
Every decision, every effort, and every step you take is backed by the strength Allah has already placed within you.
Confidence with Humility
Confidence and humility are not opposites—they walk hand in hand.
Look at Prophet Yusuf (AS), one of the most humble figures in the Qur’an.
Think about it: Yusuf (AS) wasn’t a seasoned politician or a financial expert by worldly standards.
Yet, when the opportunity came, he confidently said, “Put me in charge of the store-houses of the land, for I am truly reliable and adept.” (Qur’an 12:55)
This wasn’t arrogance. Yusuf (AS) recognized the skills and qualities Allah had blessed him with and stepped forward when his people needed him.
His confidence came from his trust in Allah and his humility in knowing that all ability is ultimately from Allah.
This is the balance we must strive for.
Be humble before Allah, but confident in the world and the abilities He has entrusted you with.
The Trap of False Humility
We must avoid a dangerous form of “humility”—the kind that deprecates ourselves.
Thinking, “I’m not worthy,” or “I’ve sinned too much for Allah to help me,” doesn’t serve you.
This false humility isn’t piety; it’s a disguised form of despair, implying that Allah’s mercy isn’t vast enough to encompass your mistakes.
Make tawba. Move forward. Build.
Allah has created you to thrive, contribute, and develop the world around you.
Confidence becomes a powerful force for change when paired with humility and sincerity.

Ya Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate, we ask You to grant Your infinite mercy and forgiveness to Khaled Yabhan. Ya Allah, he was a soul who spread joy, peace, and kindness in this world, always smiling and helping others. Elevate his ranks in Jannatul Firdaus and grant him the reward of his beautiful character and acts of love.
Oh Allah, reunite him with his beloved grandchildren in the eternal gardens of Paradise, where there is no pain or separation. Make his grave spacious and filled with Your light and mercy. Accept his sacrifices and efforts, and grant him eternal peace.
Ya Rabb, grant patience and strength to his family and loved ones. Comfort their hearts and allow them to carry forward his legacy of love, kindness, and joy. Protect all those suffering oppression, and bring Your justice and peace to the people of Palestine.
