﷽
O Allah, Opener of Hearts, we beseech You to unseal and illuminate the hearts of Kashyap, Harishan, and Teeva with the light of Islam. Guide them, Ya Al-Hadi, embedding within their hearts the love and truth of Your deen. We also pray for Kashyap and Muneerah, Azeezah and Harishan, Nisma and Teeva, seeking Your assistance in uniting them in marriage through paths filled with blessings, love, and mutual understanding. Grant them a union that becomes a source of their joy and a means to draw closer to You.

That which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear, and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which many people do not know. Thus he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor, but he who falls into doubtful matters [eventually] falls into that which is unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Truly every king has a sanctuary, and truly Allah’s sanctuary is His prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of flesh, which, if it be whole, all the body is whole, and which, if it is diseased, all of [the body] is diseased. Truly, it is the heart.
One of the most vigorously debated subjects is the representation of Halal (permissible) and Haram (forbidden), and the subtle understanding of matters that lie in the realm between them.
Al-Ghazali, for instance, highlights the significance of intention and the heart's purity in discerning the lawful from the forbidden.
It calls to avoid even the causality of transgression, ensuring that our actions don’t lead us astray, intentionally or unintentionally.
A nudge to seek knowledge, understand it, and apply it wisely.
Consider the beautiful analogy of the shepherd in the hadith, treading dangerously close to a sanctuary with his flock.
This imagery is not merely about physical boundaries but resonates deeply with our daily ethical choices.
At the heart of discerning between right and wrong is the condition of our hearts, metaphorically described as a morsel of flesh.
A pure heart ensures the entire body thrives in goodness, whereas a corrupted heart spreads its malaise throughout.
The decisions we make have a lasting impact on our lives.
It’s worth noting that our attempts to live within Halal and Haram are not about abstract moral perfection.
We are human. We falter. It’s not about counting our slips but about cultivating mindfulness and creating habits aligned with the divine will of Allah.
Awareness residing within each decision, big or small, ignites the potential for spiritual growth.
Embracing the boundaries set by Allah is the basis of a fulfilling existence.
Try to see Halal and Haram not as a complicated set of rules, but as a simple yet profound way of living that regards our spiritual well-being as its core concern.
In the end, the boundaries of Halal and Haram are not meant as shackles but as guardrails; they are not warnings but markers on the path toward spiritual fulfillment.
Let’s embody wisdom and commitment in our actions and seek understanding before undertaking any deed.
May our paths be lit with divine guidance and may we forever remain within the boundaries of Allah.
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you all!
