One day, while the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was leading the prayer in the mosque, the Sahabah (companions) were lined up behind him in deep concentration and devotion. During the sujood (prostration), the Prophet ﷺ took an unusually long time. The companions were puzzled, as this was not the usual length he took for his prostration.

When the prayer was over, some of the companions approached the Prophet ﷺ out of concern and asked if anything was wrong or if he had received a new revelation during the prayer.

The Prophet ﷺ smiled and explained that there was no new revelation on that occasion. Instead, while he was in prostration, his grandson Hasan had climbed onto his back. The Prophet ﷺ did not want to disturb the child and decided to prolong his sujood until Hasan decided to come down on his own.

This incident beautifully illustrates the Prophet's ﷺ immense love and patience towards children. Instead of rushing his prayer or gently shaking Hasan off, he chose to extend his prostration, ensuring that his grandson enjoyed his innocent play.

This story serves as a gentle reminder of the importance of patience, love, and understanding when dealing with children. The Prophet ﷺ always treated children with kindness and respect, recognizing their innocence and purity. He never viewed them as a nuisance, even when they interrupted important activities. Instead, he used such moments as opportunities to teach his companions and us the values of love, patience, and compassion.

In our fast-paced world, this story encourages us to slow down, appreciate the simple joys of life, and always approach children with a heart full of love and understanding.
