Reflections on Ramadan

🤲 Make Du’a for Kareema 🤲

Oh Allah, alleviate Kareema's depression and restore her happiness. Grant her strength to seek comfort in her family's embrace and find solace in Your guidance and the teachings of our Prophet (pbuh). Bless her with clarity of mind, emotional resilience, and physical well-being. Protect her from harmful influences and fill her heart with faith and blessings. Grant her freedom from the shackles of depression.

O people, exchange greetings of peace (i.e., say: As-Salamu 'Alaikum to one another), feed people, strengthen the ties of kinship, and be in prayer when others are asleep, you will enter Jannah in peace.

Subhanallah, it’s the final day of Ramadan.

Our journey over the past month has not been a solitary one.

Over this Ramadan, we have experienced many new connections.

Some of us have newly embraced Islam and joined our ummah, bringing strength and vitality with their journeys of faith.

Others have embraced an evolved version of ourselves.

During Ramadan, we have cultivated many valuable habits. The most important one is transforming our lives to be centered around Allah and living to please Him.

We’ve learned to connect ourselves better to the Hereafter and develop a deep yearning for it.

Having fasted through Ramadan, it’s a beautiful moment to thank Allah for guiding us to Islam, for the Quran, and for Ramadan.

Our relationships have been redefined through Ramadan and Eid, and we care more deeply not just for our immediate community but also for our global Muslim brothers and sisters.

Each of us is part of a rich, vibrant community, our ummah. Our understanding and love for each other has grown and will continue to grow.

One of the beautiful practices we ask you to focus on is introducing and getting to know each other.

The art of saying Salam has the power to brighten someone’s day.

Let’s ensure we extend that Salam to everyone in our community, not just those we know.

Let’s make it a habit to spread peace and love with each other.

Remember the new friendships, the regular visits to the Masjid, the opportunity to read and listen to the Quran.

As we transition from this blessed month to the rest of the year, we should aspire to continue the good habits we’ve established in Ramadan.

Let us persist with this eager longing and continue it throughout the year.

After fulfilling a month of patience and perseverance, it’s time to celebrate and give thanks.

Let us show gratitude by saying Alhamdulillah, for the pleasures and the challenges, for the trials and the victories, for everything that brought us closer to Allah.

As we prepare to break our fast today, let’s ensure no member of our fellow ummah is left unfed.

Our wealth is not simply for us but also so that we can extend help to those in need.

So embrace today, indulge in Allah's remembrance, and honor it with worship and humility, grasping every moment.

Every moment of Ramadan is sacred, every moment is a chance for us to draw closer to Allah, and to seek His forgiveness.

As we greet Eid with joy and anticipation, let’s not forget that there are those in our ummah who have less.

Eid is a joyous celebration, but let’s not forget to make Dua for our brothers and sisters around the world, and share our blessings with everyone.

An end of a celebration is the start of another celebration with Allah, it is a cycle of endless blessings and opportunities.

We pray that Allah accepts our worship, our fasts, our prayers, our Duas.

May He unite us in this world and the next, in the highest level of paradise.

May our hearts always be filled with the love of Allah, our actions embody the Sunnah, and our lives be a continuous celebration of our faith.

Ameen.
